been a while

Well hello to all. The girls are kinda asleep and I never know how long it'll last so this may be short. It's been a while so here are lots of pictures. This one of kaylee was right after canada day.
On canada day they were giving out little pine trees. We got a bundel and went up the hill into the burn zone from the barrier fire and planted them.
We went up with my mom. It was really fun. On the way home we took the mclure ferry across the river. It was really fun. It's one of those cable ferrys. A little bit scarry but exciting.
The girls and I went up to fort st john for a week. It was so nice to see my sister and Katie. Emily had so much fun. Big kids and big kid toys she was in her glory. Jens house is beautiful. Her kitchen looks into the back yard so Emily was able to be out there playing for hours. She spent most of the time naked of course.
This was at the W A C bennet dam. The girls had a good time. Here they are standing on cement imprents of realy dinasor prints that were found during construction of the dam. There was also some fossils on display. Kaitie had studdied dinosaurs in kindergaten so it was really cool for her.
Katie and Jen finally got to meat Kaylee. There were both so helpful with her it really gave me a break.
I dont have any pictures of Rob with kaylee because every time he got to close to her she would start screeming. I was supprised because she is such a daddys girl I figured she would be content with most men. But she wanted nothing to do with him. It was pretty funny.

I didnt get one single picture where the were all looking and smiling but they still look pretty cute.

We did a lot of driving around looking at the country. It is so beautiful up there. I got to see lots of compressor stations and pump jacks, it was cool to see new things and get a bit of an Idea of what rob does.During our drive one day we found a spot in a field and had a picknick lunch. I like the expression on moms face in this one as she is looking at Emily screeming again( she does it a lot).

Well sorry it's short. Time can be hard to find. Hope you enjoy the picturs and I will post some more soon. bye for now Ashley

Summers In Full Swing!

So summer is here and oh boy have we been enjoying it. From working in the Yard to going to the park and emily playing soccer it`s been day after day of fun in the sun. A couple of weeks ago we decided to take the gravel corner of our yard and turn it into a small grassy knowl. We put down a pile of dirt and about 500 sq. feet worth of grass see (overkill!) in the back corner and are watching our yard get bigger by the day. This is what we started out with, a rotten chunk `a grass on a foot of gravel. But as the heat rolled in and the snow melted, (several weeks ahaed of our home town of willy`s puddle.) The grass started to emerge and the corner took shape, We built a little home compost bin in the middle of what is now the "no walk zone" And with two weekends worth of digging and about 40 wheelbarrow loads of dirt we emptied a 10 x 12 foot hole and added a little personal touch to our driveway. We had a roll of ground matt in the shed so we laid it out and piled all the dirt from in the back on top of it. Now the driveway is all level right to the fence and it looks a million times better. Leave it to ash to have all the good ideas ehh.! :) And ash has been planting flowers and watering the lawns and the yard is really coming into shape! And emily, oh boy emily can`t get enough of being in her yard, we got her a pool this last weekend and her little kids swing chair came in this afternoon, she`s been blowing bubbles and playing on her slide and absolutely loving it. She has also started playing soccer on mondays and going to gymnastics a couple of times now, she is getting more amazing every day, she loves to help ashley water, of course! And Kaylee is doing great, she`s getting bigger everyday by the minute and smiling even more, she`s started making as many noises as i do, and we can`t wait for everyone to take her and her sister for the afternoon so we can do... well nuthin` that`s the best part of family though isn`t it.! Spending time and all, ya that`s it..! well we miss every body and we can`t wait to see yu all. Take care and we`ll catch you all on the next time around.one day` maybe emily can follow in the foot steps of her amazing cousin katie and she can be a timbit too.! And we all know what her uncles are thinking. And you guys will all have to visit more often to make sure she gets training form the best. Soccer lessons that is. she`s not helping you guys pick up chicks as one uncle wants to train her for, not like it wouldn`t work though.!! And then there`s nike, well ... ya she`s gettin` a bit "round" around the edges, well everywhere.! And spends most of her time on her back with all 4 legs sticking up in the air, and lays around and eats.. and starts all over again 20 minutes later. Well we all say bye and we`ll talk to you all later.

A couple Sets Of CrAZy Eyes.!

gorman lake

Hello to all. We decided to go for a drive for mothers day and have a picnic. So we packed a lunch and stuff for the girls and went to find this lake that we had seen a sign for. It was on westsyde rd(our road) but way back in behind barrier. So we drove and drove got lost turned around and then drove some more.

This was all there was. Two brand new picknic tables. a new out house. About 15 green trees and then miles of burnt forest. We didnt think about the barrior fire when we left but we soon realized just how big that fire was. There were spots where we could see nothing but burnt forest. But it was still a fun adventure.

And some new pics of my smiling girls. They just adore eachother, it's really neet. When we were preparing for Kaylee's birth we had been talking about things we could do just us and Emily to help ensure that she did not feel like she was being left out and become resentful of the baby. We were kinda expecting Emily to be fighting for our attention. Well were we ever wrong. All she wants is her sisters attention. She wants to hold her, talk to her, sing to her. She says " mom, I want my sister to look at me" Kaylee must see Emilys face more than mine. The poor kid is constantley bombarded with hugs and kisses. Maybe thats why she is so happy. Well anyways hope you are all doing well. Lots of love Corey, Ashley, Emily and Kaylee

Well it's been a while but I finally have time to update this. Here is the girls together, they probally spend an hour throught every day like this. Emily loves to hold her sister.

Things have been good. We had a bit of an adventure up in williams lake, went for a weekend visit and ended up with truck problems. So our weekend turned into four days and a little bit stressful. I, still full of hormones didnt handdle it so well, but corey was my rock and all turned out well. We took it into ford and the guy there told us he figured it was the cam shaft, but he wasent sure and we were looking at a days labour just to figure out what was wrong. Words of advise, always get a second oppion. Dale, the best dad in the world, got us a vehicle to drive and sent us home and took the truck into a different shop. It turned out all it needed was a tune up. Our two thousand dollar bill turned into about three hundred. Thank you Dad

I love this picture, I have almost the exact same one of emily. It is amazing how two kids can be so similar yet so different.

Anyways were home now and things are going well. We have been spending a lot of time in the yard, it has been so beautiful. Toys R us had this huge thing of bubbles on sale so emily has spent hours blowing bubbles. These big wands came with it they make some pretty cool bubbles. We had a big wind storm the other day and it was great because all she had to do was hold the wands up and there was hundreds of bubbles everywhere.

Emily has a friend from daycare named Aiden. They are great friends and happen to be only nine minutes appart in age. We had their first birthday party's together. Well this is Kaylee and Aidens little sister Evalyn. The are three weeks appart. Kaylee is March 21 and evalyn in April 9th. We thought it was cool that the first kids were the same age but now the younger ones as well. Funny how the world works. So we had their whole family out for a bbq. It was nice to have another family who is going through the exact same thing. It sure made me realize just how lucky I am though. Kaylee is an amazing Baby. She sleeps well, she eats well, she is so happy all the time. She only crys when she needs something. The first month with two was hard but with so much help from all our family it wasent that bad, and now things are great. We are really starting to feel like a family. The girls are falling into their own and it is really fun. We sure are looking forward to camping this summer.

Okay I have tried but I cant figure out how to turn this picture. Sorry. Jen your the pro at this, HELP. I love this picture, corey is such a great dad. It's kind of funny, I picked Emilys name and she has my middle name and she looks a lot like me. Corey picked Kaylees name, she has his middle name, and she looks a lot like he does. I think it is really neet how things like that happen. Well all I hope you enjoy the pictures and I will try to keep this updated. take care.
